Physical Therapy Treatments

for Incontinence:

v     Pelvic Muscle Re-education

A series of exercises designed to target and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.  These will be tailored to your individual needs and will be advanced accordingly.

v     Biofeedback

The use of a sensor to teach you awareness of the pelvic floor muscle action and to give you audio and video feedback of your exercises.  Biofeedback also helps track your results.

   v     Electrical Stimulation

The use of internal and/or external electrodes to stimulate the muscles and neurological pathways involved in continence.

    v     Weighted Cones

The use of vaginally inserted cones of varying weights to promote increased strength of the pelvic floor muscles.

    v     Education and Behavior Modification

Teaching you tips that you can use to help reach your goal of continence and carry with you for life!
