FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY AND RETURN TO WORK EVALUATIONS

A major part of our industrial program involves functional capacity evaluations (FCE) and return to work evaluations (RTWE).  FCE's are good indicators of a person's overall ability including possible lifting restrictions, hand abilities, repetitive movements, and balance/coordination.  This information can be utilized in determining a person's ability to return to a specific job or used for job retraining/placement and what type of job that individual is capable of performing.

A RTWE is a more specific type of evaluation.  This evaluation utilizes the current job description and assesses the individual's ability to perform the tasks outlined on the job description and if they are able to return to work in that capacity.
