Emily Wade, MPT

Emily has been employed a the Center for Physical
Rehabilitation since December of 2005. Prior to beginning work here, she worked
in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. Emily is a native to
Valdosta and graduated cum laude from Valdosta State University in 2000 with a
Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then
attended physical therapy school at the Medical College of Georgia and graduated
with a Master’s of physical therapy in 2004.
Since becoming a PT, Emily has worked primarily in the area of orthopedic rehab and over the past two years has focused on the area of Women's Health and the treatment of urinary inconintence. She has receieved training in pelvic physical therapy through the APTA (American Physical Therapy Assocation) and has been instrumental in the foundation of the Women's Wellness program at CPR. Away from work, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Lee, and their dog, Brindy. They are expecting their first child, a baby girl, this summer (2008). With the Women's Wellness program underway, Emily is receiving assistance from the newest edition to our staff, Amy Thomas, MPT. |
